It has recently been reported that people who live in the North East pay some of the highest property taxes in the country. Apparently people who live in Massachusetts area paid a median price being $3,046 as of October 2009, the states in the surrounding areas had prices that were not exactly lower than this; Vermont had a median price of $3,281 and New York had a median price of $3,622.
